In this map many arrow mark with numbers marked along the so called continental plate margin which indicating the spreading rate of the continental plate.

but the spreading rate of the continental plate is differ from pl...ace to place on the same continental plate margin.

if this is the case then the continental plate can not move as a single plate.

therefore it is not correct to say that the continents are moving as a single plate.
